Smells like vanilla soap

I was optimistic given the ingredient list, but sadly the candle smells like vanilla soap rather than old books. The scent itself is pleasant, but I was hoping for more than a vanilla candle.

Just, nothing beats the satisfying smell of an old book, flipping through the pages as the smell waffs over, a precursor to (usually) a good book.

Why did I wait?

This is my first time purchasing this scent, though I have tried a number of other candles. Huge fan. Might be my favorite of the permanent candles. The vanilla undertone really makes a difference!

Use
  • Trim wick to 1/4" before each use.
  • Burn no longer than 2-3 hours at a time.
  • After use, cover with lid to reduce soot.
Safety
  • Burn within sight on heat-resistant surface.
  • Keep away from kids, pets and all flammable objects.
  • Discontinue use when 1/2" wax remains.
