Laird's Manor - 8 oz Jar

I love the strong smell of Lallybroch. I was lucky and blessed to visit the Scottish highlands in 2018 and even to visit the film setting of Lallybroch just outside of Edinburgh.. I wish I had 10 of these candles right now. :-) I am writing and researching while quarantining and this helps me stay happy and sane!

Close your eyes and you can imagine yourself enjoying a dram by the fire looking out over the moors. It's exactly what I thought it would be like: a nice peat-smoked whiskey in candle form 🧡that being said, it is strong..so, if you're not fond of that scent I'd pick another one to enjoy

I'm in love by this candle. What's better than read an Outlander books or see a TV show, with a cup of tea?

Good quality candle and great throw, but the scent is unbalanced - way too heavy on the whiskey. It made our living room smell like someone had knocked over a bottle of a peaty scotch. I couldn’t burn it more than once and won’t be ordering this one again.

Well made but a strong scent that to my nose is not pleasant. Always quality products from Frostbeard just the harshness of this scent was not for me

This is one of my favorite Frostbeard scents. Smells uncannily like whiskey and a blazing fire.

I love your scents, and this new one is a favorite! I make sure that once I try a scent using melts, I buy ahead for myself and to give as gifts!!!

I agree with the other reviewers that the whiskey is strong, but that's okay with me! It's petfect in my kitchen.

Whew! I feel tipsy just sniffing this one! The whiskey is so overpowering to every other scent that it honestly turns my stomach.

I like strongly scented candles, I do not like searching for the scents. This one is great. I get the sweet-ish whiskey and firewood first and then the peat moss to round the others out. I am glad I got it when I did, I came back for another it is already sold out. I will buy this one again if it comes back!

The whiskey is fairly dominant here so probably an acquired taste but I loved it. Smoky and sharp. Makes me wish I was in a wintery cabin with a great book.

This scent is very unique! I bought it as part of the sale, and was pleasantly surprised. It smells very warm and is perfect for a cozy night in.

This is just as I had hoped, so I'm glad I bought 2, since it's sold out again. The scent conjures up images of the highlands and all those men in kilts.

Though I love the notes of this candle, I do find the whisky fragrance a bit strong. Though I'm a purveyor of whisky myself and I dont mind the smell, it shouldnt be a top scent. As others mentioned, I wish the peat moss was more noticeable.

If you are a lover of whisky you will LOVE this candle. Just one whiff will knock you off of your feet, it's very strong. I wish all their candles were this strong. I love Outlander but don't like the smell of whisky, that's why I knocked off a star. I would prefer that the peat moss be stronger. Still a great candle though!

I am a huge fan of almost every candle from Frostbeard I've ever tried. This, Darcy's Parlour, the Sherlock scent, and Book Cellar are particular favorites. Laird's Manor is super nice to pair with something historical featuring manly men saying "Dinna."

I love the strong throw this candle puts off. It smells just as I envisioned based on the components and description. Great candle!

This candle is transformative- it really does take you to the Highlands. Scent is well mixed and all three scents come through.

I had this burning all day next to me while I was working and it made my office feel very cozy. I will say that the whiskey scent is just a tiny bit stronger than I'd prefer but overall, very nice.

Whew, this is a strong candle, and I LOVE it. The whiskey smell comes through with notes of firewood and earth. So unique, and I love the color as well!

I got this one because everything I’ve ever picked from you guys is perfect and spot on and I love it but I got this one and it’s overly strong and the smell I can’t really even have it open without getting a headache and I’m not sure what I’m gonna have to do with it because I can’t really send it back just because the smell is too strong for me to use but I also can’t use it so I’m only going to give this one two stars this time

This is definitely not a scent for me, but my boyfriend loves it. You can really smell all the different bits to it, but I feel like there’s a little something extra also. Like a spice of some kind. He has this kind of whiskey that he spilled literally a couple drops of and I walked around sniffing the house because I thought we had a fire. This candle reminds me of that. So I guess if that kind of whiskey is your thing, then you’ll like this candle. I prefer earthy, not-on-fire scents.

Wowee, you're not kidding about the whisky! It's like taking a whiff straight from a bottle of excellent scotch, I'll give it that. I found the whisky a little overwhelming for my personal taste, I was expecting more of the peat moss and firewood. Not a bad scent, just not my personal fave.

The whiskey scent is strong, with extremely mild firewood aromas underneath. I love how it perfectly embodies the scent of whiskey, I can almost feel the burn in the back of my throat.

A really rich fragrance that's warm and a bit boozy...

I love the firewood scent as it gives such warmth but my favorite thing about this candle is that it's strong and has incredible throw. Finally!

I love heavily peated Scotch whisky, so this was obviously one to try. (Note: I just use wax melts). In the package, it certainly has a strong peated whisky aroma, which I wasn't sure would work for a room, rather than a dram; could seem too chemical. And while the scent is strong, over the hours it melts, it creates a warm atmosphere. The overall effect is a deep, earthy, ember smell. It's not like swimming in whisky, but it's like being just about to drink some by the fireside. Great for a winter evening unwinding.

I'm obsessed with this scent. Its PERFECT and everything i want from an evening-time candle. I really wish this was a part of your always collection! I have to stock up everything its back in stocka
