I stumbled upon Frostbeard Studio and the Sherlock's Study scent by chance. I was searching for a similarly named candle purchased by my wife from a book store. Though not the one my wife purchased, I was pleasantly surprised. The scent is bold but not overwhelming with no harsh perfume smell in the air. I use it to set the ambiance when I write. The name fits the smell of what I imagine of Sherlock Holmes's apartment.
I love the scent, but when it's lit, I dont really smell it unless I stick my face right over it.
The candle is EXACTLY what I wanted it to smell like. I didn't feel as enthusiastic about the scent it throws out when lit, but it's still good.
Cinnamon rolls and coffee, what better way to settle in with a good book and a comfy, warm aroma.
First, this is a high quality melt. It melted very evenly and had a pretty full smell in my office. My office mates all said it smelled great. Better delivery than other brands I have purchased.
My only dissatisfier was the scent. When I smell it, I don't feel like I am in the shire. I have been eyeing this scent for a month. I guess I thought it would be more earth and grassy. I feel like I am back in college taking a shower. Its not a bad smell. Just I could imagine this smell while I am soaping up my toddler in his bubble bath with his rubber ducky. This is not gardening with Samwise or taking a stroll with Frodo.
Delicious like all of their coffee scents! The cinnamon bun is there but not overpowering
This smells just as I would expect based on the description. The cinnamon roll adds a warm hint of spice and baked good yumminess and the coffee adds another layer of cozy decadence. Definitely a winner.
This one, I’m excited to give it to my mum with a subscription to a letter set based on Jane Austen’s writing. The company is called Flower Letters, I believe, and I think this candle will be most complimentary for them.
I love this idea. I had a little extra this month so I decided to get one to add to my order. It was a little Back to Wizard School scent. I have this in a larger size and it's delicious! A definite favorite! So nice to have the mini version for my desk!
It's been awhile since I've bought a candle where it was so good I never got tired of the scent and hoped it would be around all year. This is one of them. The cinnamon isn't as sharp as expected but mild, warm. Very nice. Definitely a bakery scent, but not overwhelming. Definitely NOT plasticy-smelling or artificial. It's comforting. I'm very sensitive when it comes to odors/scents and this one has been a dream. Sometimes there are scents with a spice element that for whatever reason my eyes or skin start reacting to it. I don't get that with this candle. Very pleased and will be buying more!
I love the earthiness of this scent. I also love that the company quickly sent me a replacement along with a free smalll candle when there was a mix-up with the delivery!
I love the popcorn and cola smell of this scent. I also love that the company quickly sent me a replacement when the post office delivered the original shipment to Kansas instead of Washington state!
This is such an enchanting scent. All of the notes are so well balanced. It is very wintry, and mysterious. I was afraid the tobacco would be too strong but it isn’t, and adds a really nice depth to the candle.
I thought it would be fairly earthy, and I would describe it more as fresh, but it smells lovely. Before burning it the spices smelled really strong, but once you start burning it the scents even out really nicely. It’s definitely giving whimsy and faerie. This is my first “mild” candle from Frostbeard, and it’s exactly what I would expect for throw.
