This is my favorite scent of the moment. It’s warm and inviting, evocative of a home library floored with hardwood and filled with your favorite books. Like there’s a friendly fire crackling away and dust notes playing in the sunshine from the window. The scent throw fills the room well but is not overpowering. I’m on my second candle of this scent; it’s wonderful.
I got three candles from Frostbeard: Old Books, Bookstore and Reading at the Cafe. All THREE have NO SMELL, even after being burnt for several hours. No room permeation. You can barely even smell the candles up close, lit or unlit. For how much these cost, I expected more. These are literally the most disappointing candles I’ve ever purchased. Ever. Hands down. Beyond disappointing. Spend your money elsewhere.
This isn't a bad smell, per se, but I can buy a candle that smells like a flower anywhere. This scent doesn't intrigue me.
The unlit candle has a captivating smell, but once lit, it just smells like a candle your grandmother might have.
I would say the actual smell does match the description on the jar.
Very pleasing scent! Not too floral, which I appreciate. Overall a very good summery-outdoorsy blend!
I have bought this a few times for good reason. The blend of coffee, woods, and leather really does take you to a bookstore. Nice orangey color for fall as well.
This smells pretty much as expected with the citronella component. Bit astringent and strong for simple indoor use but could be helpful as a mosquito repellent if you wanted to use it outdoors.
This is a nice fresh scent but a bit more earthy and less floral than I might have expected. I actually appreciate that since the sweet herb and tea notes are more my preferred scents than outright floral notes. Evocative of garden shed in the summer as described.
I like strongly scented candles, I do not like searching for the scents. This one is great. I get the sweet-ish whiskey and firewood first and then the peat moss to round the others out. I am glad I got it when I did, I came back for another it is already sold out. I will buy this one again if it comes back!

This was my first frost eard candle. I enjoyed the musty warmth of this scent.
Definitely a spicier scent. I have to be in the right mood for it, but when I want that, it definitely scratches the itch.
Wonderful floral scent, light and breeze like a beautiful summer day. Love it!
It smelled too much like roses and very little cedar. Not my favorite.
Sorry you didn't love the fragrance, but we appreciate your input. We have recently switched our Cedar fragrance oil, so hopefully future batches the scent will come through more!

I bought this on sale and found I really enjoyed this scent. It’s perfect for winter.
This smells amazing and I could pick out all three elements, which is nice because plumeria is such an evocative tropical scent. Wish this was a lotion or body wash!
This may be my favorite candle I've ordered from Frostbeard Studio. The chocolate and coffee come through so well that every time I burn it, my partner thinks I'm baking a cake! It's mild enough that the scent stays in the room I burn it in, but strong enough to enjoy while I'm in the room.
