The slight bitter of the cigar and rain on cement gets your mind clear and focused for the hard work of planning crimes. I think this might be my new favorite.
While I love many of the Frostbeard scents, this is my favorite!! It’s rich and warm, the perfect cozy scent for a day reading!!! Thank you for bringing it back for a minute. Please make this part of your permanent collection 🙏
I've always avoided ordering any candles that list tobacco-related scents, because I've never been sure if they'll hit right. This one does, though. I actually get a bit of a smoky whiskey smell off it - like being in an old reading room. This scent is exactly the kind of thing I hoped for when I heard there was a book-inspired candle company out there.
Both spicy and subtly sweet/dusty.
I love Inklings and Darcy's Parlour and Sherlocks Study to a little lesser degree - Moriarity's Mind Games is a great middle ground between Darcyls Parlour and Sherlocks Study. The cigar smoke stands out to me and adds a great dimension. Had to get it again before it was sold out.
This is ALMOST Sherlock's Study, but with a few key differences. Which makes sense because Professor Moriarty is but a dark reflection of Sherlock Holmes.
Love love love! Bringing this one to the office!
A bit more sinister version of Sherlock’s Study thanks to the our. Very good scent that perfect for dreary weather.
Interesting but amazing! I love this one so much!
I am so glad a scent for Moriarty was made by Frostbeard. The hints of villainy in the spiced, heavier oudwood bring out the lighter notes. It makes for a beautiful and rich scent that’s perfect for any Sherlock fan! Me, personally? I always loved Moriarty, but choosing between this candle and Sherlock’s candle as my favorite is too difficult of a pick.
I’m a goner for any candle with tobacco and woody notes, so this one became an instant favorite. It’s like the Inklings (my favorite candle of all time) if they’ve just arrived at the pub and lit pipes but haven’t ordered drinks yet. I can imagine Moriarty sitting in his study, puffing away, and wondering which string of his spider’s web to pull next.
Love this scent. It has the darkness I was expecting and comes across as well-rounded. If this is even possible, the moodiness and danger come through also. Frostbeard understood the assignment with this one.
Very nicely balanced. How I'd imagine the aura around Moriarty.
The Sherlock Holmes inspired candles are some of my forever faves!
Pleasant, masculine scent that reminds me of Horseman's Hollow and The Old Forest. I don't get cigar (thankfully) or rain and I'm not sure what "oudwood is supposed to be. Nice and woody, and enjoyable!
I've been buying Frostbeard candles for years now, and I'll continue for years to come. The quality of each candle and scent is excellent, and the adventurous aromas combine with fun, book-related names to provide perfect atmosphere as I work on writing my own stories. This newest Sherlock Holmes-themed scent might be my favorite so far—rich, moody, and a touch mysterious. Excellent stuff!
Moody smoky (scented!) candles are definitely a favorite of mine and I really enjoy this one! And it showcases what Frostbeard does best — great scent with a great bookish inspiration and theme!
I love ant scent with tobacco in the title, which is odd because I can’t stand cigarette smoke! This candle was a new one for me, but I’ll continue to order since I love all Frostbeard candles with tobacco in the name. Glad to add another to my favorites list!
A lot like a cross between Sherlock’s Study and Darcy’s Parlor but different enough that I really appreciate it. One of the heavier scents, it’s great for snuggling down with a good book.
Very similar to Sherlock’s Study, which is only fitting. It’s a little more subtle though.
I’m not sure I can explain how much I adore Moriarty’s Mind Games. The slightly smoky and woody aroma is reminiscent of a tweedy professor’s study and just perfect for snuggling up with a good book. This is definitely a 5/5!
Nice! Similar to the Inklings and Darcy's Parlour. I don't think it is as strong, but it is just as nice.
I am very fond of any candles that contain wood and /or smoke/tobacco scent. This does not disappoint. It has almost a spicy scent and a great throw.
This is a warm and rich scent with a good throw. It has a nice spicy tang to it with complex layers and depths. Really like this one!
