Watson's Journal - 8 oz Jar

I know the description says mild but it's *really* mild. Works well in a smaller space like a bathroom but is hardly detectable in a standard sized room.

While refilling my Sherlock's Study, I thought Watson's journal was a must. The candle does have a pleasant smell, but I would say it doesn't stand out to my sense of smell the way that Sherlock's Study does. It seemed to take longer for me to notice this scent in my room.

Very comforting smell to use in my library.

I was concerned that Watson's Journal would have a strong cologne scent, but that isn't the case. It's a truly pleasing blend of tea and vanilla, with a hint of paper. It's a new favourite, but I do wish it had a stronger throw.

These candles used to be GREAT! Unique fragrances, great throw. This is the first time I’ve bought in about a year and there is no throw anymore. :( Not sure what happened but not worth the money now.

I loved it. It’s a perfect mix of scents. There’s just the right kick of vanilla and black tea. You can absolutely picture Watson at his desk, writing furiously into the night.

The mix of the black tea and parchment scent is different and a winner..don't know how they keep coming up with these great blends consistently. Will add this to the "must have" list from Frostbeard

Perfect blend of scents with the vanilla being very light. I sometimes get a wiff of ink when I burn this but I am sure it’s the black tea. Great to burn while working!

I love that the parchment comes through. The vanilla isn't at all overpowering, which I really like.

This certainly evokes being in a well appointed but messy study. The slightly astringent bergamot tea aroma is well balanced by the hint of vanilla. I have used this while reading for pleasure and working from home.

This candle smells of calm studies in the afternoon. I can just picture working on a project while smelling this candle.

The scents blend nicely to give off a crisp, cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Rice ambiance for relaxing with a good book.

Subtle and light, a sharp contrast to its companion candle, Sherlock’s Study. But this does put you in the mood to sit down and write, much as Watson does with his adventures with Holmes.

This one’s a bit of magic that somehow conjures warmth and rain without a hint of mustiness. It’s never smelled particularly like tea to me, except for the teeniest bit of sharpness and fullness here and there. For that matter, I’m not sure I actually smell parchment or vanilla independently. But somehow these notes all blend together to create a warming, comforting scent that has become a permanent part of my writing setup. It feels like walking into the study and 221B Baker Street, fireplace ablaze, and settling down with a cup of tea while the rain falls outside. Perfect for my small study space.

I had been waiting a while for this to return so I could try it. I knew I would love it so I bought extra. I am partial to the Frostbeard scents with leather or fire/smoke in them, even the more musty scents like the book basement, rather than the food, or floral ones, so I was worried about the vanilla but it is not overpowering. This one is perfect for a clean, cozy scent that gets to the heart of book nerd feels.

Everytime I need to do paperwork I lit this candle and it helps me to focus. The smell is not too strong, the scent is delicious and relaxing... Love it!

I really hope you guys bring this one back! It became one of my favorites!

I own the sherlock Holmes books, so naturally I had to get both candles

The smell was nice, but extremely light. It worked out beautifully in a very small space, but anything larger than a bathroom I found the smell to get lost, which was unfortunate as I enjoyed the warm notes of the candle's scent

In a way this reminds me of a chai, which I love. Its so calming & since I purchased the sherlock candle I HAD to buy this one❤ definitely recommend.

I love this combo of scents! And I should, it has three of my favorite things! Tea, book ingredients, & vanilla! I find the tea & payment to be the strongest scents in this candle, but the vanilla keeps them from being too dry & sharp smelling. I will defintely order again if it comes back!

This combination of scents is absolutely lovely! The parchment combined with the tea is brilliant and the vanilla is not cloying but just barely there enough to help round out the overall impact. It is a bit perfumey as others have noted, but not in a bad way. I find it provides heavenly ambiance in my reading corner, so it is now my favorite candle to burn while settling in for a cozy time reading. I'll request to bring it back when it gets low and hope that enough other people do too.

This scent is beautiful--parchment, black tea, and vanilla, what isn't there to love?--but it is very light. Very, very light. So it's absolutely perfect if you are sensitive to strong scents or want to use it in a small room like a bathroom, but if you want to fill a room, this is not the candle for you.

Very, very mild--it's great for a small room but is definitely lost in a larger space. I wish it was a bit stronger because it's a lovely scents. It's sweet without being overwhelming.

My husband uses this in his office. Lovely scent, not too strong.

This candle's scent is simple but comes with some very classy notes that are perfect for a good mystery.

Sherlock's Study has been a staple scent for me and having Watson along has made my heart so happy. The scent is so welcoming and fresh and lingers perfectly making the room better.

I wasn't too sure how I would like this scent based on the combination, but I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did! When I opened and sniffed this candle after it arrived, I knew I had made a good choice. You smell the vanilla first, but as it burns you get the scents of tea and parchment that are just delightful. I'm so glad I grabbed this one!

I am really enjoying this candle! None of the scents overpowers the others. They blend together for a great scent for reading. Very pleasant.
