Potions Dungeon - 8 oz Jar

I think this may be my absolute favorite candle. It is so wonderful and I hope it comes back! The scent is not too strong, and it makes my room smell just lovely.

I loved this candle so much I got another one. It smells exactly like this curio shop, Dragon's Lair, that I used to love visiting. It reminds me of dragons and magic <3

I love the Potions Dungeon candle! I wasn't sure if I liked the scent initially but it disperses really nicely throughout the room and has a nice earthy scent.

Another favorite melt! Whenever someone comes over they ask where I’m getting these scents. They’re all so unique!

While similar to the grimoire candle, it adds on an herbacious quality which only adds to the intrigue.

I could deal with it being a little bit stronger, but maybe the desire for more is part of the allure.

If you liked Dragon's Lair, Aurora Dust, or Book Cellar, you'll like this. Dusty, smoky and sweet.

I love this candle. Like divination classroom but spicier and earthier. Makes me think of incense in a witches home in the woods as opposed to incense inside a cozy office or classroom.

The incense was just too strong in this one.

When I read the fragrance combination on the front, I was sure I would love it. And I did!

Interesting incense scent!

Smells very close to an old incense blend I had. Maybe Nap changa/jasmine/opium. Not getting the wormwood/licorice smell which was a bonus for me because I was afraid that would be overpowering.

Incense as in Divination Classroom so I had to put them together to compare. Love both. Potions Dungeon has a nice spicy scent that is enchanting. Glad I ordered it!

Love that this one was brought back. Scent does conjure up images of a potion bubbling in a cauldron, with a hint of spice to it. It's definetly been on my regular rotation these past few weeks.

This scent is just as described. I almost always buy the wax tarts and this one has a good throw in that formulation. At first I was worried it would be too heavy on the incense like the divination classroom scent is, or too soapy like at first smell in the package. Once it's lit, it seems to me there's a good balance between the ingredients. Would love this to be on regular rotation, and I've already gifted it to a Snape lover.

This candle smells JUST like what I imagine the potions dungeon of Hogwarts to smell like. The addition of wormwood is a nice touch, the incense smells like a cauldron smoking.

The main scent of this candle reminds me of Divination Classroom, but it has interesting spicy undertones that definitely make you feel like you’re in a potions dungeon or exotic spice shop. This is a must-have if you want to collect all the Hogwarts candles for a complete experience!

I'm awful at describing scents, but I can say that once again I have not been disappointed by a Frostbeard candle! Always worth the money!

This is one of my all time favorite candles! It smells like incense and earth! I absolutely love it!

The predominant note is incense, reminiscent of Indian Nag Champa. There are spice notes (reminiscent of ginger). The wormwood is almost completely absent here -- and I LOVE absynthe, so I know what wormwood smells like! ;) The scent through is medium-strong. The overall impression is that it smells like a new-age bookstore.

I was so excited when this candle came back- I’d been DYING to try it, and it did NOT disappoint! Only problem is that I waited too long & the bigger ones sold out- I’ll have to get it next time, because I’m sure I’ll use this one up quickly! The smell is earthy and spicy at the same time, and strong, but not overpowering. I love the black splotches mixed in to the green as well. My only problem (which seems to happen with the 4oz candles) is that it burns more to one side than the other.

I couldn't imagine a more perfect scent to evoke the Potion's Dungeon. Perfect while curled up reading.

I haven't smelled this one yet, but my step-daughter loves these scents, so I bought one for a gift. :)

Ordered 3 Potions Dungeon candles for my children (ages 19, 17 & 17). They all love the scent and since two are still at home, I get to enjoy it also. Scent is medium and has a lovely incense smell. Would buy again.

I was excited for the "bring it back" as the description sounded intriguing. I enjoy the spiced root & wormwood scent a lot; however, I guess I'm just one of those people that smell a "soap" scent with their incense notes. So, heads up if you tend to do the same. (e.g. Divination Classroom)

Based on some of the reviews and the fact that incense is one of the scents, I expected this to be stronger than it is. Unfortunately I can't really smell this candle unless I'm right on top of it. But, once I do smell it, it smells great! I can't really describe it other than by saying it's "earthy", but it does have a pleasant if light scent.

I snagged a tart of this scent last year and loved it so much that I burned it up in about a week. I was hoping it would have come back around for the autumn scents this year, but alas. It leaves your space smelling spiced and warm. Like you've stepped right into a metaphysical shop to stock up on herbs for a spell. I remember specifically watching the second season of A Series of Unfortunate Events while this was burning, and it set the mood perfectly. I'll be on the lookout for this scent, and would literally buy it the moment it came back if I am lucky enough for that to happen.

Clean and magical aroma

I'm so bummed. I read the other reviews and they were all positive. This one smelled amazing when I opened up the package, but there is zero scent when it's melted. Even standing right over it, there's no smell ☹️

I like the scent of the candle. Maybe slightly too incense-y, and would be great with more dark/damp scents, but still good. However, while it has a nice smell unlit, I can't smell it when it's lit unless I put my nose up to the candle.
