I enjoyed the candle but didn't exactly feel "Sam's Garden", but when I sat it next to the Forgotten Garden candle they were great together!
The Rose is the dominant fragrance but there is also a good amount of green grassy notes. Floral but not too sweet.
Wasn't what I expected (though now, not sure what that was) and wasn't impressed at first, but then it grew on me and I like it a lot. I was "roped" into buying it b/c of the name of the candle. Great marketing on your part.
Looking forward to giving this to a family member along with a new book so they can be enjoyed together as they ought to be
It smells like the world's most perfect greenhouse, perfect for summer with the forward tomato vine notes that make you want fresh produce of your own!
This is a nice fall scent that isn't super strong but you can tell when the candle is lit. The pencils and leaves give off a nice woodsy vibe and the daisy is very subtle which is fine since I'm not a huge fan of strong floral.
Nice Fall scent. I was worried it would be too floral but I don't pick up any floral notes. Autumn leaves is the predominant scent to my nose with just the perfect pinch of pencil. Good throw with the wax melts.
Didn't care for this one. Heavy incense-y, with a sharp bite to it. Didn't get any of the scents listed.
If you’re looking for something that smells like old oak, brass accents, and well-worn button armchairs feels? This is for you. There’s the pipe smoke scent that makes this candle feel like a hearth.
Wonderful candle for filling large spaces with a robust lagoon scent. It has that hint of beachside flora, fresh clear water, and distant tropicals.
This candle has been my favorite scent for YEARS. The way it smells brings an odd nostalgia and somehow carries with it a remedy for homesickness. It is strong, calming, and warm. Once it’s been lit for a while, I can feel the spines of old books under my fingertips in my mind. Please don’t ever get rid of this! It’s quite literally my favorite scent, ever.
This scent really carries the namesake. It is a cool, calming scent that is strong but not overpowering. The color complements the scent as well, and makes for a perfect reading companion during those nights when you miss the smell of rain.
I'm always on the lookout for candles that smell really good, that burn well and last a long time. I've purchased expensive, cheap, trendy and everything in between, but am always disappointed. THESE are the ones. I bought Forgotten Garden, Babylon Candle, The Old Forest and Old Books. They are very different from each other and all are perfect. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the Forgotten Garden, or maybe The Old Forest. Or.....And with the Old Forest, do not mistake this for a Christmas tree candle, at all. There is only a very faint nod to trees, it's more.....think dark woods full of fairies and enchantment. They are all wonderful.
I enjoyed these candles initially, but over time they started irritating my throat. I attempted to cancel my monthly subscription, was told that it was cancelled, and have been charged for and received 3 candles since then. I have sent many emails--all unanswered. I tried DMing--no response. This has been a terrible experience.
Even though this is in the permanent collection, to me, this is a great scent to buy in the autumn! Has a nice, warm scent and perfect for curling up on the couch as the weather starts getting colder.
This candle really does smell like you're in an old pine forest. Has a nice, clean scent.
This is my favorite of Frostbeard's fall scents. It feels like a warm hug! Perfect balance of pumpkin and spice.
I thought this would be really sweet because of the amber but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't. It really does conjure up thoughts of a dragons lair. I didn't pick up much smoke and what I assume is Mountain mist is the predominant scent to my nose. Good throw with the wax melts. Overall a nice unique scent I've added to my long list of favorites.
Sherlock Holmes mysteries are some of my favorite books. This candle really captures what I imagined Sherlock's flat smelled like.
Once I got word that Divination Classroom was back in stock, I immediately purchased it. It’s my favorite scent, mixing sweet with smoky incens
I'm not sure what Mountain Mist or Amber are intended to smell like but this reminds me of a lighter incense scent that I typically smell in new age shops. Kind of sweet light, and pleasant. Definitely not a woodsmoke type of smoke.
This was ok, I would even say pretty good. I wish (as always) that the scent throw was better.
