Meet Old Books’s mustier, more sophisticated grandpa. Book Cellar is a little bit earthier, a little less sweet and every bit as charming. Rich and loamy with soft hints of vanilla bean, this candle smells just like the kind of magic found only in an antiquarian’s book collection.
When browsing the Frostbeard website this was never a candle I considered myself interested in. However, my independent bookstore stocked up on some candles around the release of the Spring collection. I went in for “Sexy Librarian” but couldn’t get this smell out of my mind. I ended up snapping it up on independent bookstore day and it is one of my absolute favorite Frostbeard candles I own. I tend to favor fall scents and this gave me an option that was a little heavier for Spring but didn’t feel oppressive. So, thank you to my indie for stocking this and allowing me to sniff test.
I was surprised at how much I love this candle. The color is beautiful, the scent is the perfect strength, and it somehow smells cold! This is one of my new favorites. I wish it was part of the permanent collection!
LOVE this scent! It reminds me of my grandparent's basement and their wine cellar. I think the vanilla bean counters any sort of overly musty smell you might think you'd get from this candle. Wonderful and would definitely get again.
This one smells like how it looks almost is how i would explain it. Its a wonderful smell
It’s all the best smells of the basement combined with vanilla. Love this fragrance so much.
