Old Books® - 8 oz Jar

This puts me right into my favorite place - a used bookstore. Smells like the old paper & dust & the vanilla smooths out the “old” smell. It’s going into our little library-den.

The candle smells more pleasant once lit, less moldy, still not my favorite but OKAY.

A lot more cucumbery than I expected, not a bad scent, but not as musky or vanilla-like as I was looking for. That being said it looks beautiful on my bookshelf and the scent itself is growing on me.

I have to admit, I was nervous about this one because I'm allergic to dust, so I wasn't sure how my nose would like it in a candle, but somehow, they pulled it off. This candle reminds me of that smell that hits you when you walk into a used bookshop full of old encyclopedias and leather bound classics!

I've been wanting a candle that smells that books for books and ny boyfriend got me this one for my birthday last year and I just had to buy it again myself because it smelt so good. I light it every night before bed

Wow. I must have gotten the last one as I see its now Unavailable as I write this... Well, lucky me because I really am happy with this purchase. Soft, subtle, relaxing with a scent of vintage for my vintage man cave office! I do hope you bring this one back but I will be ordering other scents soon!

First off, I love how fast this candle arrived. As far as smell, I wasn't sure what I was expecting with a name like "Old Books." How do you capture that in a candle? To me, it has a kind of lemony smell to it. But, like, a cleaning supply kind of lemony smell..? Like furniture polish you'd use to clean off your dusty bookshelves. That's probably just me. Overall, it's really hard to describe this candle. There is something about it that gives me the feeling of being around old books after it's been burning for a while, but I can't really place what it is. I like it, though. :)

I love the candle! The smell is subtle and lovely, and I love to light it when I'm sitting on the couch reading. I'll definitely be ordering more products from Frostbeard!

The mild scent of this tart is still pleasant and makes the room smell like a used bookstore(without dust). I started by melting one tart but quickly added a second one. The scent carries but does not linger as some of the other tarts do. 8 would order it again.

Perfect gift for my Third Thursday book club members! Smells so good and reminds me of my favorite places- book stores and libraries!

The aroma wasn’t as strong as some of the others but still a great candle... wish it was a little stronger to fully enjoy the scent as to set the mood for reading, but all in all a great candle to add to the collection..

I wasn’t sure about this candle so I only ordered the 2oz. But I really like it! It’s light and has a bit of a papery+flowery smell to it. It’s a nice clean scent and I like using it when I don’t want my room to be overwhelmingly scented.

I bought a round of the Old Books scent for my circle of book lovers. Everyone absolutely loved it. A subtle, pleasant scent that has gotten rave reviews. I’m definitely going to try other scents!

Smells incredible, not too overpowering. I bought this as a gift for my aunt who is a retired librarian and she absolutely loves it!

I love the idea of this one but it is lightly scented once lit, cant really smell it unless its very close to you.

This disappointed me because I was expecting a book loft scent. I didn't get any scent at all. I have to add essential oil to this in order to smell something. I don't recommend this product at all.

Fragrance is a little off-putting.

Old Books is the perfect candle for me! I am a librarian and it smells like a library! I also like the fact that it is a slow-burning candle and burns evenly.

This one is my favorite. It smells like a very light sweet perfume with a hint of vanilla. An interesting mix.

This one has a light scent to it and reminds me of spring time sitting outside with an old book. It definitely is not overpowering with the scent. It’s very mild and happy like buttercups, dandelions and vanilla

Love the smell, just wish it was a bit stronger. It's subtle, which will be great for some people. I just like a stronger scent with my candles.

Does smell to me like old books, and not in a bad way. Like ones that have been taken care of and aged well.
