I'm enchanted by this candle's indescribable smell (which I will now try to describe). It legitimately smells like the fantasy version of walking through an old forest. There's a spiciness on the air, like distant wood smoke and trampled cedar branches crushed under a deer's hoof. The rich fig notes are like fallen fruit, and the "dirt" note really smells like dirt, but in the most dreamy way -- like an earthy, mossy, sweet dirt. The individual notes can be picked out on the cold sniff, and then they all blend together into one when it burns. It sparks your imagination -- perfect for a writing session. It took me some time to figure out how I felt about this scent, because it's just so unique. But pretty soon I was hooked. I originally found the candle at a gift shop, and when I came here to order another, I was bereft to discover that it's a seasonal scent! I can't wait until it comes out again next summer.
