Soldier Island - 4 oz Tin

Soldier Island has a pleasantly fresh scent; the gunpowder makes it a little earthier and more mellow than most ocean scents. Not as potent as the Oxford Library candle (which makes it perfect for use in my small library, which is actually just a closet with a window).

I HAD to buy this candle upon hearing it smells of ocean, driftwood and gun powder (I needed that scent inspiration for topic writing). While I don't know what gun powder smells like, the ocean and driftwood scent is just right-not too overpowering, and natural. Almost as though you were standing on a pier, or pirate ship!

Perfect mix of scents, great throw, and atmospheric without being heavy.

Nice scent- lightly floral. I was looking forward to lighting this one but unfortunately there is almost no throw to the scent in this candle.

I like this version. I think you came out with this candle at an earlier date and it was a bit more flowery. I lite this candle as soon as I got it.

This is a slightly powdery ocean scent, but I don't really detect any of the gunpowder. It's pleasant anyway. I'll probably reserve it for a bathroom scent since I live by the coast and can enjoy the actual ocean's scent whenever.

I love this scent but it's not very beachy to me. It's musky and smoky and lovely but I don't get the sea. Maybe I'm missing adventure in my trips to the shore. But it's definitely a wonderful smell just not what I was expecting.

Smells pretty much exactly as described. Scents all mingle nicely to give off an ocean scent and the gun powder note gives a nice depth.

This candle smells exactly as the description says: salty as the ocean and a little bit burnt as the gun powder/driftwood.
It's not my fave smell ever but I would be happily buy another jar in the future.
Plus I love the fact that it was inspired by one of the greatest novel by Agatha Christie.
We sure need more AC's inspired candles!!

I recently watched BBC's And Then There Were None mini-series, and used this candle to get into the mood. This is just an amazing candle!

This might be my favorite candle I have tried from Frostbeard. I love the sea scent, it's smells just like you would imagine the island from Christie's novel, but less violent ;)

Whenever I order a new scent I always tell myself that it can't possibly be better than the ones I already have (which are many) but in this case, it really is better. This is by far my favorite scent and I wish I had stocked up more before they went away!

I love this candle!

This scent became an instant favorite in my household. The ocean scent isn't overpowering or fake like many ocean candles I've had, and the gunpowder was an excellent little addition to it. All in all, this candle makes me yearn for seaside adventures on the beach.

Soldier Island - Candle

I was hesitant to buy this because I didn't know if I would like the scent, but I ended up loving it. It mostly smells fresh, but I can smell a bit of earthiness to balance it out. I'm looking forward to using this soon!

This is an awesome candle. The scent is perfect. It's not too strong, but not weak either. My candle did have a wick problem where it wouldn't stay lit. Probably an air bubble that caused the problem. I contacted Frostbeard and they corrected the problem quickly. Another reason why I'm always going to be a Frostbeard fan. This is probably my 50th candle from them. Never disappointed.

A darker, more mysterious sea scent

I liked this candle but it wasn't a favorite. Scent comes off well and is a very moody, mysterious scent which works well with the story. Only wish is that it was a tiny bit more on the ocean side. The gunpowder is a nice touch!

I love that this candle is inspired by Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None! It definitely provides atmosphere to any room. The candle scent has a good throw (you can smell it throughout the room), and it smells good. If you are an Agatha Christie fan, I'd definitely recommend it!

This candle smells amazing....I always pair the candle with the was melt and you can smell it threw out our house. It pairs perfectly with the book. It transports you to the Island, living the mystery with them.
