Sherlock's Study® - Wax Melts

Amazing smell. Not too overpowering, just right for my reading nook in my music studio. A wonderful blend of scents. Even my wife who suffers from migraines didn't complain about this candle. Would buy and burn again for sure. Seems best to burn it for an hour at a time, to let the wax melt evenly and avoid a wick hole.

When I first bought this, I decided to give it to a friend who loves Sherlock Holmes. I smelled it unburnt before I gave it to her, and it was very strong. It ran out, so I didn't buy another one for over a year, and I was nervous about it. It turns out to be very pleasant and not too strong at all. My son says it smells like cookies. I think it smells a touch like coffee, but not so pungent. I have been burning it with my fall scents, and it's a beautiful combination.

I have pets and I buy a lot of candles. This is my first candle from Frostbeard and I love it! Perfect for cool days to make my home cozy and the soy wax is best quality in my opinion. I also bought Oxford Library melts and a Highstorm candle and cannot wait to try those.

This scent is in a tie for second place with Bookstore in my favorite scents so far from Frostbeard. ( My first place is still Oxford Library.) The combination in the Sherlock's Study blend, though is superb. The deep, tart kind of cherry tobacco mixed with the wood and rain all combine to be a relaxing, soothing and upscale scent experience for me. This reminds me of how a gentleman's more subtle 'sweet' tobacco pipe scent in a good way would smell like... lingering nicely amid his well made clothing as he passes you in the antique bookstore. A great medium (leaning a bit towards strong) throw in my home. A keeper!

This is the third candle that I try from Frostbeard and so far is my favorite. Somehow reminds me a strange coffee drink, hot, in a cozy place (I guess Sherlock's messy room). The scent is strong enough to fill my leaving room, but not so overwhelming that I cannot keep writing. I definitely love this aroma and I plan to buy more.

The scents are amazing, the candles burn beautifully, and I’m looking forward to reusing the beautiful jar when I’ve finished the candle. Makes my space feel warm and cozy

Still unsure what I think of this one. I like it, but there's a lot of sweet tobacco and it overpowers the wood and rain. I guess that's pretty accurate to the title, but it is a strange scent for me to enjoy.

It sounds like a fake ad, but Frostbeard candles really are the only candles I burn in my office. I'm a writer and book editor, and I have Sherlock's Study going right now. When the weather starts to turn even a little bit nice, I will fire up Halfling Hills in an attempt to encourage spring to show up sooner. These candles smell great, they last a long time, and they cost half as much as candles at the local boutiques. Very happy repeat customer.

This candle smells exactly how I’d imagine Sherlock Holmes study to smell, a perfect mix of his wooden desk, pipe smoke and the air from rainy streets coming through an open window. It’s perfect reading atmosphere.

With this tart you definitely smell the tobacco but you get a chocolate smell too, probably from the cherrywood. It smells great when melted.

Great candle, and I was really drawn to the Sherlock Study, but unfortunately the aroma is not to my liking. I will continue burning it though.

This candle has a strong scent that really fills the room and lasts. I find it a relaxing and memorable scent.

My mother says this one smells like warm pee…and I have to agree with her.

This was my least fav of the box of four candles I selected so I lit it first. I was hoping the tobacco and wood would stand out, but initially I just detected a sort of standard chocolatey-candle scent. HOWEVER!!! After burning it down 1/8 of the way, the tobacco really began to reveal itself. It’s almost mystical, like walking into a small tobacco shop filled with leather, loose tobacco leaves to sample, chess sets and other such wonders that captivate a curious and adventurous soul. I love the scents hidden within, and look forward to purchasing again, though perhaps after I swim my way through the other yummy Frostbeard treasures that await.

I keep this candle in hand at all times! I really like the pleasant tobacco smell. It reminds me of going to tobacco auctions with my grandfather in my youth.

Smells great right away but after a while it seems to change scent and it’s not quite as appealing. Hard to describe

Customer service was great, delivery was great, and the aroma is fantastic! My husband is a Sherlock Holmes freak, so to have his study smell like Sherlock's study -- well, that is heaven to him. Another side note: I don't normally buy scented candles because they give me a headache. I've had no problem with this one.

This is one of Frostbeard’s stronger scents (in a good way) and has a nice masculine vibe.

A great year round scent!
