Mystery Fragrance - 8 oz Jar

I order a bunch of mystery candles every year, because I'm always surprised by liking a candle I didn't think I would. Such as Laird's Manor, which I would never have voluntarily chosen -- turns out it's a fabulous candle, dark and peaty. And Halfling Hills, which mixes the tang of tobacco with a lovely sweet background. And my current favourites, Winter Keep, which is basically Christmas tree and log fire combined (reminds me of my Grammie's house in winter), and Christmas in the Great Hall, which smells the way a big, oaky Chardonnay tastes, both sweet and full of depth. I almost always order the smallest size candles and then wish I'd gone bigger.

I decided to do a couple of mystery candles because there are so few scents that I would regret getting, that I knew I was in for a treat. Also, it' was exciting not knowing what I would receive. I got one candle, Scottish Ridge, that I really wanted and loved it. I also got New Paperback, which would not have been one I would have sought out on my own, but it is still pretty nice and definitely has an accurate smell for it's title. I would definitely do the Mystery Candle again!

I got the Summer Thriller candle through the ??? Option. Nice to save some money and I have yet to be disappointed.

This is always a fun way to get a new candle. It makes me feel like Christmas morning and the surprise of a gift. In this order I received Library Nook and it is a candle I probably would not have ordered, but I do like the scent notes it produces. This is a way of getting new candles I have done before and will continue to do.

Received a number of scents, some of which I had not tried before! Give this a try and see what turns up! We put these candles in people's birthday and Christmas gift bags and they are always a hit!

I am never disappointed with the Mystery Fragrance picks. I wait with anticipation for their arrival every time I order them. It's so exciting to see what the geniuses at Frostbeard Studio have picked out for me. But the main thing I benefit from is being exposed to fragrances that I normally would not of pick out for myself. Every time I light their candles it's like taking a trip in your own home.

I love candles so much and sometimes it’s hard to know by a description if you will like the candle scent or not, that’s where the fun of the mystery candles comes in! I’ve never been disappointed in any mystery candles I’ve received! Highly recommend all of FrostBeards candle scents! Such a great idea!

I love the surprise of waiting to find out which scent was going to arrive. I am pretty open to any fragrances myself, so whatever I received I knew I was probably going to be fine. I ended up with LETTIE'S OCEAN and I like it a lot, but could see how others may not…

I love ordering the mystery candles! Every one I've gotten has been in excellent condition--the only evidence that it's a "markdown" is usually color variation in the wax. This is a great way to try out new candles.

I love when the mysteries are available. I usually prefer buying at least two candles at a time from this company. The mystery candles are a perfect option when I’m not favoring any other in stock candles or if I need to add a bit more to get the free shipping (girl math).

I love the fun of not knowing what you're going to get and discovering new things, but there does tend to be a lot of redundancy if you place multiple orders,like I do. I have 3 Bah Humbugs, 2 Christmas at the Great Hall, 2 Jurassic Jungles, and 3 Wizard Buttery Drinks. Luckily, Frostbeard makes a great gift, and all of those scents are winners, so it could be worse, I guess. :)

I am always excited to get my mystery scent. They are almost always ones I have not tried due to missing out on a special run or whatever it may be. Absolutely love the scents they pick for me.

This is the first floral candle I've loved. I cant tell which flower... Roses? Just a bit of earthiness.

Purchased six mystery candles, and all were unique and fun! I've never been let down by a mystery candle yet. I hope you keep them around!

I ordered two Mystery candles, received Don't Panic and Frost King.

Don't Panic: I really like, a very nice 'clean' smell. Very nice and pleasant. Quality, as with all Frostbeard candles, is excellent.

Frost King: Just not my personal favorite, I am not really a mint fan. Kinda reminds me of chewing gum. This is MY preference though, not any kind of statement on Frostbeard or how others may love this candle. It would not have been a candle scent I ordered on my own.

I think that the half-price mystery candles are a great idea that can lead to some fun surprises, but buying them can be a bit of a gamble. Keep in mind that you may just receive your least favorite/least desired scent type—which is unfortunately what happened to me 😅

Bedlam’s Manor has cotton candy, taffy & oakmoss. I was a little disapppinted because I generally like something less sweet. I haven’t burned it but the smell is growing on me so I’m actually kind of excited about it. I am not sorry I tried a mystery candle. I probably would never have chosen this one but it may turn out to be a favorite. Out of my comfort zone so to speak!

Surprise! I got one of my favorite limited seasonal scents: Le Cirque Des Rêves ✨ It doesn’t smell quite like I remember, so maybe a bit of a mixed batch. She’s a special one. I’m still tickled that it’s a candle I’ve purchased before at such a reasonable price.
